Don't let that discourage you from applying for the Award. I am not a task master. The love you have for your chosen pet is very important to me as that is obviously an example of responsible pet ownership. I do tend to bend the rule on how polished your Web design and graphics are if the love for your pet shines through everything else.

The list of do's and do not's below is not exhaustive. I have tried to trim down what I look for while still giving you a general idea of what will or won't catch my eye. 

• Excellent Web design and layout (prefer similar color scheme throughout entire site)
• Some use of original graphics (must give credit)
• One or more photos of your pet(s)
• Description of your pet(s)
• Breed information if applicable 
• Rescue or Humane Society links

• Anything obscene or vulgar
• Links to anything I deem objectionable such as: cruelty to humans or animals, pornography, horoscopes, beer, puppymill sites, auction sites etc.
• Lack of coherency in either the color scheme or page layout
• Lack of content about pet(s)
• Lack of photographs of your pet(s)
• Nothing educational about your pet's breed
• Nothing about pet or breed related rescue information
• Any site where mixbreeds are promoted for the purpose of breeding...Schnoodles, Golden Doodles, etc...
• NO MORE than TWO animations per page. 
• I MUST be able to move from one page of your site to the next without going back to the main page.
